Some “Good Feng Shui” Practices
Some “Good Feng Shui” Practices
To help Chi circulate and bring energy, balance and harmony to your space:
Remember: Be Intentional!
Here are some things you can do right now:
1. Invite Chi in: Make sure your entryway into your home is warm & inviting & clutter-free to welcome the flow of Chi into your life. See your spaces as metaphors for your well-being.
2. Eliminate Clutter! It attracts confusion, disorganization & scattering of life energy.
3. Doors: Avoid blocking doorways & avoid storing things behind doors. Keep bathroom doors closed & close all closet doors.
4. Toilets: Close the lid when not in use! Chi, like water, can flow down the drain.
5. Garbage: Be particular about where you locate trash cans & recycling bins. Avoid putting them in important key areas of the BaGua.
6. Light: Replace all burnt-out bulbs. For a dark room without windows: keep a little night-light on at all times. Light is an uplifting symbol of enlightenment and bringing light unto darkness.
7. Plants: If you want your resources to grow: place a plant in the Prosperity Area. If you intend for your relationship to be growth-enhancing, place one in that area. If you are a student, (Who isn’t?) place one in the Knowledge area, etc. Avoid prickly, pointy, downward hanging & unhealthy plants, such as cacti. The “Lucky Bamboo” Plant is an easy-care & highly available indoor plant.
8. Mirrors: A little mirror goes a long way to increase energy in any area, due to its duplication & reflection of light and objects within a space. Hanging a Faceted Crystal Ball will similarly help Chi circulate.
9. Heavy, Solid Objects, such as statuary or stones or crystals can help stabilize an area. (a steady, stable partnership, for example) However, refer to the symbols, shapes & colors of the Elements description to help you choose what is most appropriate.
